Come along to the Bee Park Resource Centre on Monday 22nd March 2010 at 7.00 pm for information on becoming a volunteer with Manorhamilton Mental Health Association.
Why should the average person be concerned about mental illness and know about mental health? Here are just two facts:
There are currently 104 associations throughout the country. All members of Mental Health Associations work on a voluntary basis in their communities to support people with a mental illness and to promote positive mental health. Some activities include facilitating information days and school based projects relating to mental health, befriending people experiencing mental illness and supporting social clubs.
If you think you may be interested in becoming a volunteer, or have an interest in finding out more about the work of Mental Health Associations, put this date in your diary.
Everyone welcome!
