Mental Health Ireland and our volunteers celebrate Mental Health Week every year in October. The week surrounds World Mental Health Day which takes place on the 10th October, celebrating a different theme each year, set by The World Federation for Mental Health.
The theme for World Mental Health Day 2020 was Mental Health for All: Greater Investment, Greater Access. Everyone, everywhere.
The overall objective of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilise efforts in support of mental health.
The Day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide.
Each year, the incredible volunteers across our Mental Health Associations and the team members in our organisation, put together and host events and campaigns in communities across Ireland to promote mental health, wellbeing and recovery for everyone.
On this page, you’ll will find information on the events being hosted by the MHAs around Ireland to celebrate World Mental Health Day and mental health throughout October. We will gather and update this information as soon as we get it, to give you plenty of time to get involved and help us share and promote the activities and events.
