WITH – A Young Persons Guide To Parental Mental Health

The WITH Project are a group of young people from Co Mayo who came together in recognition that there are no information resources available to young people who have a parent who experiences distress due to their Mental Health (MH).

Have a look at the video resources available on a number of subjects including anxiety, self care, depression and how to look after yourself.

Parental MH is not often spoken about and we decided to create the first online resource for young people in Ireland affected by this, either on a daily basis or occasionally.

Research suggests that children and young people find even small bits of information helpful, and it can help to increase their resilience and understanding. Our resource describes some of the Mental Health difficulties parents can develop, as well as information on how you can mind yourself and seek support.

We hope that you find their resource helpful!
