Our 2018 Art & Photography Competition is open for entries!

Our Art & Photography Competitions are open for entries! Closing date 26th October 2018.

We’ve made lots of positive additions to this year’s competition including new theme, new categories, bigger prizes and a new online entry form.

The theme for this year is The Five Ways to Wellbeing, which encourage us to:
MHI-5-ways-to-wellbeing

  1. Connect
  2. Take Notice
  3. Keep Learning
  4. Be Active
  5. Give

The Five Ways to Wellbeing were developed from extensive research carried out by the New Economics Foundation. They are actions we can all take to look after our wellbeing. Students do not need to include these words in their entry but they are welcome to if they wish.

This year we have created four categories of entry to include all sectors and to be more inclusive. Entries this year will be received under the following categories:

  1. Junior Cycle: 1st – 3rd Year in Post Primary School
  2. Senior Cycle: 4th – 6th Year in Post Primary School
  3. Special Education
  4. Youth Reach

We have also increased the prize values. This year the national winner in each category for both Art & Photography will receive a €500 One4all Gift Card, 2nd Place in the four categories will receive a €250 One4all Gift Card, third place in the four categories will receive a €150 One4all Gift Card and two runners up in all four categories will receive a €100 One4all Gift Card.

National winners in our four new categories in art and photography category will all feature in our 2019 Calendar alongside four additional outstanding entries.

We will host a National Public Exhibition showcasing the prize winning entries in St Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin for the week of the 25th of March 2019 with an awards evening announcing the winners on the 28th March in St Patrick’s Cathedral.

This year you will be required to fill in our online entry form below. Please fill the below form ON THE DAY YOU ARE POSTING THE ENTRIES. It is very important that the number of entries entered is the same as those in the envelope!

Create one online entry for all of your Art entries in your selected category and one online entry for Photography in your selected category. If you are submitting for junior and senior cycle you will need to create two online entries, please.

Please read the Guidelines for Entry carefully

When you fill in the form below you will receive a confirmation email. You MUST PRINT this email and include it with your posted entry to Mental Health Ireland in order for us to able to process your application.
