Woodlands for Health is a 12 week forest-based walking programme for adults connected to
mental health services in Ireland.

Woodlands for Health provides an accessible and sustainable way for people to use the natural world as part of a toolkit to manage their mental health.

Woodlands for Health began as a pilot project in Wicklow in 2012, based on the award-winning “Branching Out” programme in Scotland.

There are now 26 programmes running in 20 counties and growing all the time!
