Blanchardstown Centre is inviting the public to a weekend of self-care, shopping and supporting Ireland’s longest running mental health charity this October.

Over the weekend of October 22nd and 23rd, Blanchardstown Centre, Dublin and Mental Health Ireland are bringing the pop-up care festival #BeThere to the heart of the community for a celebration of mental health and wellbeing.

With appearances from TV star and event host Bláthnaid Treacy, and radio presenter and DJ Ray Shah, the #BeThere festival running during World Mental Health Month in October combines feel good entertainment and retail therapy with expert-led mental health discussions and support.

The festival is a chance for the community to carve out some space for their own wellbeing while helping to raise awareness of mental health and support Mental Health Ireland.

Blanchardstown Centre will be buzzing with an unmissable weekend that’ll lift the roof and warm our hearts with family entertainment, exciting spot prizes, fashion shows, live music and more!

“With this event, we want to remind everybody to make time for their own mental health and wellbeing. We’re all so busy and during stressful times, we can forget to look up, breathe, connect with others and have fun! We can’t pour from an empty cup,” said Georgina Lawless, Fundraising, Engagement & Volunteer Manager with Mental Health Ireland.

“We are delighted to team up with the team at Blanchardstown Centre who really are all about giving back to their customers and who welcome the opportunity for them and their staff to understand the importance of mental health and how they might support their customers. The money raised from this not to be missed event will allow Mental Health Ireland to continue to grow mental health in our communities,” said Georgina.

“Blanchardstown Centre is very proud to be partnering up with Mental Health Ireland to Be There for our Customers with a positive and engaging customer focused event this October. We look forward to welcoming customers and the Mental Health Ireland team to ‘Donate for Discounts’ on the 22nd and 23rd.

“Join us for great entertainment, informative talks, feel good fashion shows, giveaways and discounts from stores throughout the Centre and retail parks. Customers can Be There for each other, Be There for themselves and also Be There to donate to Mental Health Ireland,” said Ciara Curtis, Marketing Manager, Blanchardstown Centre

All funds raised will go to Mental Health Ireland to help the charity provide free training and resources for community groups, educational scholarships for people with experience of mental distress, support volunteers around the country, and roll out national campaigns aimed at fighting stigma and raising awareness.
